Courteous, well meaning and dutiful to decorum's beck and call, Bartels endeavours to maintain the peace and sense of compassion in good society that they do embody in pale plate. This balance between direct action and Peacecraft navigations is careful struck, and requires much wisdom hardwon by Bartels, and hard fought to maintain.

Bartels walks the path of Peacecraft, the hallmark of the Lilypad Knight, yet prepares for the conflicts that many would rather indulge in, be it violence of words and manners, or brutish manner of resolving ego's need.
