Madelief waited in the tea room of her family's estate, for her invited guest was not someone she would go out of her way to go meet. It would not look favourable on her part, would not be safe. She was an heiress, she was someone of importance here in Veya. Whenever she had to leave her residence, three weavers would flank her as added security. If she and her retinue had to venture to her guest, it would bring too much attention. Too many eyes, ones she did not want.
"He's late, my lady." Voiced Isa. The weaver was the only one that stayed in the room, the others kept to the hall outside. Her ability to manipulate the shroud came in the form of inflicting pain. It only worked in close quarters, but it was enough to instill faith in Madelief that she would do what she was employed to do.
"He is always late, Isabel." She drawled, pouring herself a cup of steaming tea. There was no need to wait on @Ledan when she knew from past experience that he never kept to a set time. Perhaps she ought to give him a threat, but they were too many years down the road of working together. She would hate to build anew, to make bargains and deals with any other of those bastards that festered in the slums. "And yet, he always appears before the witching hour."
This time, she needed Ledan's assistance on something. A target, one he could take the stealings for himself and his people, in exchange for a feyling's price. It was something beyond the reach of her capabilities, for she was not afraid to admit she was soft hearted, but it was advantageous to make the acquaintances of those that could do the work for her.
But she could not have any of this come back to her.
