Innis of Astenvale
Age 24
Gender F
Origin Altalusian Hume
Occupation Knight Sworn of Anathaeum
Shortly after being sworn into knighthood, Innis left her home in the monastery to serve under the til Clemonde family. The Marsh Lords in those lands had an ancient treaty with the Order: one of their own kin sworn to knightly service, in exchange for an Anathaeum weaver. And so Syr Innis was traded for Syr Landonsera, and became a Peaceweaver.
After three years spent the Marsh Lord's halls, she has been granted leave to the monastery, until she is needed again. The return is bittersweet, for she has grown since she's last seen her comrades, and in soils away from home.

Appearance
Height 5'5"
Build Slender
Hair black
Eyes brown
Innis has the look of someone not done growing yet, a round face and softened angles laying overtop muscle. She has little of the ruggedness that knights and mercenaries are known for, more spell than sword in her appearance and execution. The only thing that tells of a harder life is a sprawling scar which laces up her right hand and forearm, an even crosshatch of raw skin. Long since healed, but healed wrong. It looks unnatural in origin, caused by something like magic or acid.
Shoulder-length hair coils together in cloudy tufts, often tied back in one or two buns, or tucked underneath a hat. She's usually seen wearing a practical and many-pocketed overcoat, indoors and outdoors. Underneath is a plain white shirt, plain black pants and well-oiled boots. Her belt loops have room for a sword, a wand, and a lantern.

Personality
Focus is both her greatest strength, and her greatest weakness. Innis can conquer any problem and solve any riddle that captures her interest, but it first has to be interesting. Things that don't engage her are at risk of being forgotten entirely, whether that's a pointless lesson in her squire's training, or an old friend who no longer sparks good conversation. The excitement of a challenge often clouds her judgement, and she cannot always see the purpose of practicing something that she already finds 'easy'.
Despite her eccentricities, Innis is a caring person at heart. She is driven by the same altruism that defines most of her Order, and she will usually pick helping others above any self-satisfaction that solving a problem by herself might bring. Innis often questions the more antiquated tenants of the monastery, but this usually comes down to simple grumblings. When the going gets tough, she knows how to follow orders.
