To name is to remember. To forget is the greatest sin. The Elum are a traveling people bound by Road and memory. They’ll readily offer trade, shelter, or even a story. But you need to remember no one soul is worth the Road – and forgetting is a punishment worse than death.

The Hungry Eight – “Too much, they say, and the world ends. They’re wrong. Too little… and it begins to starve.”
Eight mouths for eight Hungers that carry the eight burdens. They’re not cultists – they’re spiritual corks stopping Honzui, the first hunger, from fully manifesting. Something has started to change and the Hungers change with it. One of them isn’t like the others… and maybe, the lid is coming loose.
