THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Astenvale Monastery puts on its own Festival of Lights every year, opening its doors to any and all who wish to partake in the celebrations. Resident knights and traveling weavers put their spellwork to the test, trying to outdo each other in an informal contest of lights. Naturally, folk from the neighboring towns gather to watch.
The other highlight of the festival is the giving of memory stone pendants, which the knights do freely. This expensive enchantment is normally hard to come by, so many denizens make a pilgrimage to the humble monastery just to receive one.
Conflicts between barons and march lords have made travel about the northern marches of Altalusia and the Vayden Wilds more difficult, but given all the more reason for people to seek a moment’s respite. Find a time to gather and reflect. Knights bearing the white chrysanthemum have ventured out from their monastery to ferry the good peoples toward the celebrations, or to help villagers and townsfolk put on festivities of their own. To shine a bit of brightness against the darkness of winter.

Additionally, participants of the thread can grab a memory stone as free loot, and have it imbued at the festival. Get your memory stone put on display! Write a scene of a tale, or a memory dear to your character's heart that would be set into the anamnesic amber. The stones aren’t very big, though – please keep these memories around the 200 word range to prioritize expediency for all to enjoy!
