by John Donne
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think’st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul’s delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell’st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
Reyna is dead. How she died, she doesn't know. But she expects to find out. Something tells her the death was not ordinary, someone is surely to blame. She can't pass on until she knows who killed her and why -- the how is irrelevant at this point. All she knows is her name and that her family are quite the wealthy merchants who may or may not have gotten some help from supernatural forces.
She tried getting answers from them, but then her grandmother cast her from the house. It's hard trying to talk to people who blow salt in your face, which feels like getting punched in the face and passing out for hours.
So she's on her own, that's fine. And hey, wouldn't you know it, being a ghost has some perks. As long as a ring of salt isn't around a building, no door can keep her out. Turning invisible is also pretty handy -- but then again, a lot of people can't see her to begin with. Or hear her. Or even acknowledge she's there. Sometimes, being a ghost sucks. If only she were a vampire instead.

Appearance
Height Was quite tall
Build As light as air
Hair Holographically translucent
Eyes Gray lavender
It's unfortunate that when someone dies, they're stuck in the clothes they were wearing. It could have been worse, Reyna has seen ghosts left naked with nothing but chains around their necks. At least she gets to be modest, even if
Personality
Quite exuberant despite being dead.
Skills
Deduction and reasoning, the other two skills a ghost detective needs. It's not like anyone is going to be able to kill her. Unless, of course, they're quite skilled with exorcisms.
