Forest of Hands - North Ilica
In North Ilica, in a deep and dark patch of woodland one may happen upon the morbid and magical phenomenon of "The Forest of Hands" or "Hauul ek Velthrem" in the Elf tongue. This foreboding sight is as ominous as it is mysterious taking the form of a patch of woodland populated by a number of floating severed hands that all hover in the air freely. These hands are described as being in various states of decay and many report that they will grab whatever you place in them and pull them up into the dark canopy, never to be seen again. There are even tales of entire people being dragged upwards screaming in terror only to be suddenly silenced when they go out of sight. Others speak of hearing voices coming from the trees telling them to...
Gardens of Silmorael
a land arranged to perfection Silmorael is the Mother of Elven Magic, and wife to the First High King. It was she who laid down the rules and prescriptions of magic that all Elves follow, to preserve the forests and fields that their kind claimed as their own. And it was she, who first turned the Elves towards the perfection not only of themselves, but also of the land that they conquered. What was once wild forest and overgrown fields, has in many places been tamed into gentle and orderly gardens and plains, a perfect blend of order and chaos. And thus the Great Gardens of Silmorael were born. Of course, different High Houses have different notions of perfection. Some prefer to keep their territories more natural, preferring to blend...
Garru Harru
Garru Harru is the name of a small village in the northern edge of the Dragons Teeth Mountain range. The particular area is known as the Agni-bolg or The Stomach of Fire, due to the high volcanic activity there. The sulphur springs and obsidian deposits make the area a tempting spot for explorers hoping to find new ways through the mountains but many go missing due to hazards both natural and unnatural. Though for those who live in Garru Harru (named for the great Hero Harru who later became known as Garru) life is a mixture of ferocious weather and the occasional natural disaster. Rockslides and mudslides have buried the towns of its people many times and while the terrain is lush and vibrant trees do not thrive as much nor do they...
Suldaza
where opposites meet Suldaza is a continent of immense contradictions, where the Great Gardens of the Elves and the Deadlands of the Forsaken occur side-by-side. The vibrancy of life outside the Deadlands is attributed to the thickness of the Shroud throughout the continent compared to elsewhere throughout the known world. This is because the Shroud seems to naturally congregate and replenish itself faster in Suldaza than Ilica in the west. Many Weavers have attempted to discern why Suldaza is such a wellspring of the Shroud, to little success. But what this means is that most of Suldaza is natively friendly to Weavers, who find it significantly easier to wield magic in the continent, find that their spells are stronger, at a lower...
