Bump in the night, the wagon wheels rolled. Frantic as team of horses raced. Gaunt and terrible things. Whipped on by a cadaverous coachman. Hit every rock and ditch there in the road with horrible cracks and thunderous clacks.
Still the great iron rimmed rounds and steel shod hooves ripped and tore across the roads of Khurun. The haunting wheeze and wail of tall and battered brass, left a long snake of armonium smoke there in the dash of its trail. Ivory keys pressed to feverish glee. Rolled and tickled to a shattering whee. Drawn out.
Behind the great and singing wagon a train of chained along carts. Bars of cages. Stacks of lumber. Tarps, dashed and striped with jaundiced fever and scarlet madness. Rattled and rumbled there in the gut turning pull.
There in those cages. There in those carts. Eyes aglow. Twisted to spiral and break as they stared out. To all who saw their strange fate.
Hammered down the keys. As wagons came to thee. Teams of faceless souls shambled and walked on toward their work.
Hammers and nails split and broke! Lumber that crunched like bones. The grinding teeth of saws. Yawed and pitched through the night. Beneath the eight moons, a dreaded thing did rise.
Come one, come all, to find out the surprise.

OOC
Somewhere, somehow, sleep has taken hold of you. When next you awake, the carnival is there. All madness, and glee, its haunting melody bids to thee. Join in the fun. Get up to some spooks! Play the roll of the monster! Or be the terrorized kooks. This is a seasonal thread to inspire a bit of mischief and malice. The fun sort of course, where we are all in on the joke. AND OUR POOR INNOCENT CHARACTERS. The Victims of our horrible delight.
So.
Don’t be shy. Join on in. It’s a spooky dream sequence in the magical world of Khurun! What your character remembers, what you want to be real, well, that's half the fun of it, isn’t it?
I will be acting as casual DM using my strange illusor, Zakarias, who, for the purpose of this fever dream of a thread, shall be the Ringmaster! That does not mean you, or anyone interested, cannot steal the scene with your own horrible nightmare! Or, gleeful bit of madness.
Areas of interest
The Big Tent | The Freak Show | The Funhouse | The Animal Cages | The Curiosities | Fortune Telling | The Tunnel of Love | The Rogue’s GalleryThe areas of interest are just meant to spark a little something. Find some cool art that fits a vibe, or an npc you feel fits that spot? Spawn the damn thing! Have your character there, or set the trap for others to fall into!
What’s the worst that can happen?
Maniacal laughter
This will be a singular open thread!
The purpose? To mix, mingle, and get up to some hijinks! Doesn't have to be super serious, and you get to decide if its canon or not for your character! Rewards will still magically stick to your character if you want them to.
And don't be shy about doing a one and done cameo!
The thread will be open next weekend, September 19th!
Rewards
Fun prizes like in-world items! Eggs! And you know, the friends, horrors, and memories we make along the way.
