South Ilica
where freedom clashes with authority

The southern Ilican peninsula comprises a variety of biomes ranging from open prairie, temperate woodland, coastal flats and bluffs, and the southern foothills of the mountain range dubbed the "Fingers of the Father." In some areas of South Ilica this range shares another title, "the Smile," for a vague resemblance to an open grin against an autumn sunset. The Arshakan Empire, remnants and mimics of the ancient Devahni empire, attempts to lay claim to the entire peninsula, although their control extends only as strong as the paper on which their maps are drawn. The majority of the peninsula is broken into Free States, an eclectic collective of cities and peoples that have since shaken free of Imperial writ.
