Slickfang
A hench for hire
Slickfang no longer remembered what day it was. The bottles had piled up about her on the table of the forgotten public house in the utterly mundane shit post that called itself a village.
Her dark eyes looked for a victim and found every one as angering as the last. So she stood and drew her crooked knife and axe.
It was time to wipe this shit stain from the map.
Slickfang didn't make up a warcry or boisterous threats she just started stabbing and hacking.
The first one was a woman next to her, an elf who could have used another hole in her head anyway. Next was a human man who she stopped screaming by separating his jaw from his pathetic skull with a single stroke.
Then the others started screaming and roaring and some of them even drew weapons. That put a smile on Slickfangs face, she had been wondering if there was anyone worth killing here.
Stepping into the blood as it soaked into the boards and straw she upturned a table, the sound of fright filling her ears with warm shrieks.
So much blood would yet be spent this day...
Drool pooled under Slickfang's cheek as it gathered from her slacken mouth. Crystal clear spittle getting cold and sticky on the table.
The public house was unblemished, it's patrons unmolested by her dreams of violence. In the bleary eyed morning she wondered how long it had been since she last saw a familiar face or had any thoughts that wasn't centered on the idea of killing everyone she had seen that day.
It was the problem that came whenever the hench gigs dried up. There was always a period of dry and boring days with no kidnapping, no murders, not even a decent heist.
There were just no decent masters worth serving anymore she thought.
