Born beneath the moons and stars, Lila looked like any newborn. A little bit like a sea-lizard, and a little bit like a angry tomato with a mouth. She cried incessantly, not quieting nor latching onto her mother. In the morning when her parents saw her hair and eyes under the sun they were wide-eyed and frightened. Such strange features, how could it have happened? The father blamed the mother for infidelity, but that was a silly thing to do, after all, who could the mother have slept with - a morning glory, a pile of violets, a field of amaranth?
Growing up in Telephassa with a fairly well-off family, it was a surprised to many how Lila acted. At first they tried to play it off as Lila being a tomboy - she never took care of her dresses and she had awful, selfish table manners. They blamed it on her four older brothers, thinking the mother failed in teaching her daughter from right and wrongs in being a woman. Everyone soon learned that was not the truth at all, Lila was no tomboy or unruly child, she was just a delinquent, quick to hit and kick and spit out threats like a baby rattlesnake.
She would be no lady of the house, and trying to find suitors interested in their daughter was worse than pulling out all their teeth. Not to mention the secret they knew about their daughter, her unusual appetite. Oh, sure, Lila loved eating any sort of food set down in front of her, a little gourmand they had thought. That was cute. Then they noticed how Lila would sneak off into the gardens late at night, utilizing rat traps to collect bugs and critters that had grown up unusual the way Lila had: a centipede with one leg, a frog with two tongues, a snake with three eyes, a bat with four wings. It might have gone unnoticed if she cooked them up, but she didn't.
So away Lila went to a place plenty faraway. They told everyone it was a great opportunity, that Lila had been chosen especially by Lady Clare. In truth, Lila was shipped off not to Lady Clare but her eccentric, colorful Aunt Elva who was known to be able to handle those with a unique... disposition. Elva was a witch of the Mirror Moon, seemingly old and young at once. Finally, Lila had someone to take her in and teach her, guide her through these changes and hunger.
Lila was a precocious child despite her preference for her fists. She devoured every book and lesson, taking on projects that tested her physically and mentally. Elva took the time to figure out what caused Lila's hunger, how to control it, and most importantly, how to use it for the girl's benefit. Lila never got sick eating expired food or poisonous mushrooms, she liked raw meat and didn't shy away from things with funny names. It was a long process in discovering what could calm this hunger that shouldn't belong in a small girl.
It was nightstalker leg that made Lila able to sleep through the night without her stomach growling. How Elva got nightstalker leg didn't matter, it only matter that she did have it, cooked it up, and then served it to Lila. It could have used a bit more seasoning, the meat was tough and gamey, not at all like chicken like Elva had promised. But as Lila tore into the overcooked bird leg, it dawned on Elva that Lila craved monsters.
Turns out it was more than monsters: spirits, ghouls, the undead, anything dangerous and that most people avoided to eat.

- Long blue-violet hair with a bright lavender ombre that falls smoothly with a curl at the end. Her hair is remarkably thick and shiny, a testament to her never hungering for food and her impeccable grooming schedule. She often ties her hair into a long braid that reaches the small of her back; others remark on its uncanny similarity to a scorpion's tail.
- Dark lashes frame lavender irises; the shape of her eyes is mischievously angled and curls up into crescent slits when she smiles.
- Pale, nearly translucent skin that exposes veins closer to purple than blue when in view. Her cheeks get ruddy when running under the sun, but at night, it is only a rosy flush.
- Confident gait and an unimpressed expression have Lila fooling almost everyone into thinking that she doesn't care what they think or say about her. This facade falls when confronted by her parents or being criticized and compared to others, especially when her faults are displayed openly. The neutral curve of her lips will be pulled back to bare her teeth at whoever shamed her, and her eyes will blaze with anger to hide the shame bubbling up in her gut.
- Dresses like most modern women from Telephassa, jewelry is not a suggestion, it's a must. She wears rings and bracelets, necklaces and body chains. She drapes herself in it as well as pierces it into her skin, enhancing the shape of her below and over her clothes. Her jewelry is always silver.
- Lila maintains her nails, brows, and body well, ignoring anyone's suggestion that she bring more practical supplies with her on journeys.
Personality

- Neat, small, and uniform writing, to the point that each stroke is so consistent with every other stroke that it is obvious she writes this way because she is a perfectionist.

- Prefers to fight with her double-bladed sword most of the tim instead.
- Often hired to eat things that don't belong: poison, fiends, venom, spirits, monsters -- a feast fit for a devil.
- She sings better than a siren, especially since there's no gruesome death after hearing her song.
- Gambler, not with her life or future, but games are always more fun when everyone is betting.
- Cheater, it's not only sleight of hand but also having the know-how to handle cards and dice to rig the game to her benefit.
- Shroudweaving - Lila knows spells relating to the 8 moons, certain spells are at their strongest when the moon is full, at their weakest when the moon is empty.
- When eating certain monsters, ghosts, spirits or fiends, Lila will get a boost. It might be a boost to shroudweaving stamina or to her physical stamina, she might be stronger or faster, have less of a presence, or her scent be untraceable.
