Their standard flew high since the rise of the Deva during the Age of Promise. Zihan Omin is rumored the first to make the family strong in the eyes of the Deva. Unfortunately due to the Scar, many records were lost, giving way to different interpretations. Throughout the Era of Chaos to Era of Many, the Omin line waged war on many fronts. Amidst the broken politics of other species, they remained strong in devotion to the remaining Deva Empire until its fall against the Ashakan Empire. Many Deva had split off by this point, some headed off to separate wars as simply blades for hire. During the Age of Unity, his people learned some level of peace once more. The growing of the new shroud weavers was a boon for all species at this point. Good things unfortunately do not last. House Omin had suffered many losses throughout the ages. Despite all of the destruction their line endured until Mathis himself. He was the last of his line, with nothing left to his name. Aside from his few siblings the House of Omin rests on their shoulders.
During his upbringing in the Nomadic runs of Deva, he was trained from his youth up in the ways of House Omin. While few in numbers their traditions remained strong, followers of House Omin made sure to input every lesson deep within his bones. Trained in his Shroud Weaving ability of body enhancement and imbuing weapons with elements. Next, he was tutored and trained in the war tactics of his ancestors without fail, repeating lessons and battle scenarios repeatedly. Putting the training to practical use in hunting bandits and taking in bounties.

Mathis is of a mixed descent, between Deva and Beastkin he takes up the traits of both very clearly. With ebony skin, he is athletic and built like a tree. The ashen horns on his head are larger than the average Deva. They come to about 20"s in length arched with branching points. When in his primordial form, he looks nothing like his usual Deva kin due to his Beastkin heritage.

- Weapon Meister: Growing up in the House of Omin, all are trained in various weapons if they do not become or utilize the weaver ability. Due to its long history of war within Deva's history, merging all it learned from fighting other species. Utilizing the groundwork to almost mimic the bodily adaption and usage of the shroud. Thanks to this training he can master the control of his body for combat.
