As the falling leaves of autumn give way to the white chill of the winter snows, the Warlords of the Harannossë and their retinue gather in the island city of Telpelrion for an annual round of politicking. Here, the battlefields of the summer waged in blood across the forest and plains of the Silmorael, turn into a war of words and influence, as the Hundred Houses wheedle each other into, and out of, various alliances and agreements that break just as often as they hold. Here, the Low Houses seek to curry favour with their High House patrons, that they might lessen the yoke and burden of the tithes that are laid upon them year after year. And here too, do the High Houses hunt for signs of weakness in their peers, that they might seek to wrest more power and prestige for themselves, and from their fellow High Houses. It is a dance that they have performed for thousands of years, and perhaps for thousands of years more, that one day, one amongst them will become High King of the Elves.

Hi everyone! I know that several people have expressed interest in the Hundred Houses of the Elves, and I would love to see the region grow and develop plots based on the lore that has already been written. I therefore hope that this mini-event would serve as a brief introduction to the Hundred Houses of the Gardens of Silmorael. During the winter, the nobility and knights of the Hundred Houses descend upon Telpelrion, their most ancient city. Here, under a banner of peace that is very strictly enforced, the Hundred Houses mingle and bicker amongst themselves, trying to forge alliances with each other, or wrest a measure of advantage over one of their peers. Some of these alliances may even last until the following spring and summer, when the armies of the Hundred Houses prepare for battle again.

Players are free to make members of the Hundred Houses. No permission is needed to create your own Low House, or to create a member of an existing High House. However, the creation of a new High House from scratch should be discussed with the admins.
