Brief History
Born into the Komori Clan—a small family of foxkin exorcists in the mountain region of Sonshan—Momoshiro did not have a typical childhood.
From a young age, he and his siblings were immersed in rigorous training. While other children played, they honed the skills of their lineage: strengthening their bodies, sharpening their minds, and learning to steel their spirits. They studied martial arts, swordplay, and sacred rituals under the watchful eye of their father—a stern teacher who understood the peril of their calling.
The Komori dealt with spirits known as Raakgui, beings of great power and unpredictability. Confronting them was no game. The children were taught to sense the Raakgui’s presence, to read their intentions, and to stand firm against their influence. Momoshiro in particular showed promise—not just due to his bloodline, but because spirits seemed unusually calm in his presence. Even those who were agitated or cursed grew quieter when he was near.
As he grew in experience, Momo was entrusted with the clan's most sacred technique: Spirit Manipulation. This powerful art, passed down for generations, allowed its wielder to subjugate a spirit in battle—not to exorcise it, but to absorb it. Once bonded, the spirit could be summoned at will to fight alongside its master.
With each mission, Momo added to his arsenal, capturing and binding powerful Raakgui. By the time he was thirty, he had an array of spirits at his command. Some were towering beasts used to overpower enemies. Others provided utility: scouts for surveillance, flying spirits for movement, decoys, restraining spirits to immobilize foes, and even gentle ones to carry injured allies.
This versatility made Momo a formidable force—able to adapt to any encounter with ease. Few threats could stand against the sudden emergence of one of his summoned titans.
Yet the technique came at a cost.
The constant absorption of cursed Raakgui began to corrode Momo’s psyche. Each spirit he consumed left a mark, like breathing in poison with every exorcism. Over time, the practice that once empowered him started to distort his thoughts and weigh on his soul. The endless cycle of confrontation, subjugation, and consumption has left him questioning the path of the exorcist—and what he is becoming along the way.
This led to him ultimately leaving his home to travel abroad. It was a suggestion from his mother, an effort to soothe his soul.

Momoshiro is a tall, pale-skinned foxkin with sharp features, crimson red eyes, and very long snow-white hair. His hair drapes down his back and is tied up in various places, quite haphazardly. He wears a sleeveless shihakusho with a mustard yellow haori over it. The haori is open on his right side, revealing ornate armor plates on his shoulder. He wears a black glove and other tightly fitting black adornments on his arm, neck, and chest. His gold and white katana hangs at his side, loosely tied to the obi around his waist.
The most noticeable distinctions are his bestial features. He has two white fox ears and a long fluffy white tail. He even has fangs that can be seen when he smiles.
Personality
Momoshiro is calm, composed, and principled—a man guided by a deep sense of duty and an earnest desire to protect others. Intelligent and introspective, he approaches his responsibilities with quiet confidence and emotional restraint, often serving as a stabilizing presence and voice of reason. Though serious by nature, he reveals a dry wit and understated sarcasm in more relaxed moments, offering glimpses of his personable side.
At his core, Momo is deeply empathetic, especially toward the weak and vulnerable. His ideals are the foundation of his actions, and he holds himself to high standards in both his work and personal conduct. However, the toll of Spirit Manipulation has begun to wear on him. Core Principles
- Spiritual Subjugation
The user must first engage a spirit—usually a hostile or cursed Raakgui—in direct confrontation. Victory is achieved not only through martial prowess, but through spiritual dominance. Only once the spirit is fully weakened and overpowered can it be bound. - Absorption Ritual
Upon defeat, the user performs a specialized ritual to absorb the spirit into their own body. This ritual fuses the Raakgui’s essence with the user’s soul, binding it within an internal spiritual domain. Each spirit remains dormant until summoned by the user’s will. - Summoning and Control

Risks & Drawbacks

Absorbing cursed or hostile Raakgui slowly poisons the user’s soul. Their emotions become harder to regulate, dreams are often plagued with memories or voices of the absorbed, and their sense of self begins to erode. - Spiritual Instability:
The more spirits stored within the user, the harder it becomes to maintain balance. If the user falters—emotionally or spiritually—one or more spirits may attempt to break free or exert influence. - Isolation:
