Saskia laughed. "Oh I am sure. I have visited quite a few times, I think I know how to navigate the city. If we are lucky, perhaps we could get a bunch of us to go up!"

She had visited to places as an ambassador before, often with other knights and squires, and Saskia had always enjoyed spending time with them. It always became a riot of fun, and to spend that time away from duty was a memory to cherish.

"I have many friends all through Altalusia. Don't you worry, Arbok! I will help you in this endeavour to find out more about your kind!" Everyone deserves to know where they came from and who else was like them. A sense of belonging even if things were not at all what you wished it bed.

Saskia had found out where she had come from, was met with disappoinment and doubt, but she grew all the stronger for it. It made her realise how much better off she was to become a Knight, to not grow as yet another shadow witch.

She crossed her arms, head falling in thought beneath the unrelenting rays of sun. Her hair looked like spun pale gold beneath her hat.
"It is better to have a support around you when it comes to this search. It may take a while, might become frustrating... but you will have many of us waiting to support you."

There it was, that complete offering of help. Unabashed and unreserved and given so freely it didn't half seem real. It felt too easy.

Her face scrunched, like a bad smell hit her but it was only a reaction of surprise. For all the years she had been at the Monastery she still struggled with the ease of such things.

Just like that they'd gather a possy and get going, maybe as soon as tomorrow if they could get people to agree to come.

A lifetime of self reliance was hard to shake so it was with some effort she returned her face to an accepting smile and the emotional dam that had held back her hopes and fears burst.

"Thank you."
Quite suddenly Arbok's strong arms gripped Saskia in a hug that lifted her friend off the ground and there she stayed, as tight held as she dared hold her and speaking quickly with an almost frantic excitement.

"Can we get Gruki? And Lou? And, and Roki, if he wants to come? He's clever!"

Her mind raced, the idea that it could be happening, that she might finally KNOW was almost too much for her to cope with.

"Is it far? Will we need money? I don't know if I have enough. I have some!"

"Of course!" Saskia laughed.

"I can spread the word around once we get back to the monastery! It will take time and planning, as these sorts of things will often do." She approached the abandoned boot that Arbok had taken off in order to try the, now too small, boot. Saskia nudged forward her lonely boot.

They would need to ask their friends, but with such a great number of them, if they all wished to go, there would need to be measures put in place. They would need to ask permission, wait for approval or disapproval, and then they could all go on to plan how to get there.

"Oh, I save all my coin. I am like a dragon with how much I have been saving." Saving, for some she had earned for her services, but the main majority had been from gambling and winning.

"Yes, yes. Planning, of course."
Arbok felt ready to go this instant but Saskia was right, it couldn't happen that day. Despite this she felt a great relief meld with her eagerness to begin.

As she looked down on Saskia who in turn regarded the ruined boot it struck her that Saskia was more than generous with her time, and her money. Arbok rarely saw it as more than a means to an end but Saskia referring to herself as a Dragon was a funny visual. It brought to Arbok's mind Saskia's room, full of little treasures.
"Well you do seem to hoard so I guess you are a bit of a Dragon!"

She gave Saskia another playful hip check. Her chipper mood making her forget her usual care with others. Something usually reserved for Gruki.

"Shall we got back then?"
Eagerness sprouted from every feature. "We can plan a long the way and I don't know about you but I'm missing lunch."

Saskia waited for Arbok to tie her boot back on, and together they set off on walking back towards the monastery.

"I wonder what they are serving for lunch today..."

The ponderous thought left a moment of quiet between the two friends. Every day was something different, and Saskia always liked to get something that was served with potatoes. One week, there had been a dish consisting of potatoes but done in many different ways, and she could remember the food coma she got after getting many helpings of mashed potato.

"You know what, I hope there is chicken. Cannot go wrong with chicken!"

Saskia quickened her pace to keep up with Arbok's leisurely stroll. "There is an inn that does a reaaly great side dish called gratin. The way they cook those potatoes is unlike anything I have tasted before. Fortunately, they are in a town just on the outskirts of Crown's Hold." Which meant there was a chance to go visit when they eventually were able to travel.
