With a clap and a nod and a tap of his toes, Param nod eagerly. "You can indeed, miss, you can in-deed!" he rubbed his hands with excitement, blacks of his eyes wide with the readiness, his tongue licked over his lips as he bounced a happy little bounce. "Lets see, lets see,"

Of all the things the pilot liked to fill his stores with when it came to shore, dumplings had to be one of the top most on his list. So much so that he could sniff em apart, and tell what the little saucy bunches of deliciousness held inside, just by the shade of their purse.

"I'll take a half dozen shrimp if you would, and, and some pork and onion! Soup style of course, oh, and if you have the ones swimming in spicy oil, I'll have some of those as well,"

The catkin woman smiled and nod, all too happy for the business. Her dexterous digits quick to snatch up the morsels from their baskets. Stacking and restacking the bamboo containers with professional speed. She put them all in a little clay pot, and the ones with the oil, in their own bowl.

Her attention turned toward the navigator next, a nod inviting her to place her order.

Param stared at the serving plate, and felt his stomach rumble.

While not the dumpling connoisseur that Param seemed to be, Mahsain was not unfamiliar with dumplings. The Deva bit at her lip as she considered the options before her. "Spicy pork and four pork and vegetable please, they can go in the same bowl. Do you have the steamed buns? If so two of the pork and two with the sweet red bean paste. They are my favorite." She said looking at the vender, her eyes wide with delight as she watched the woman swiftly gather the order into a pair of bowls before offering them to the Deva.

She dug in the purse at her belt, pulling out coin for both meals and handing them over. "Thank you much ma'am!" She said before moving away to sit at the edge of a nearby fountain, pulling her feet up and crossing them under her. She sat the bowl full of steamed buns to the side and picked out a spicy dumpling with her fingers, eating it swiftly before sucking the remaining spicy sauce from the tips. The heat of the meal settled delightfully in her stomach, warming her on the chilly evening.

Mahsain glanced up to Param. "This was the perfect meal. I'm glad you were able to pick them out."

Param stared, big eyed, at the still lidded bowls upon his tray as they sat on the ledge of fountain. His eyes flit toward Mahsain. "Oh," he smiled big, eyes squinting. Nod. "Few things beat a good haul of dumplings, Miss Roshan, never you doubt that," he laughed and unlidded his own collection.

Spicy oil first. He snatched one up and gulped it down. Opened his mouth and shook out his tongue. "Hot hot," he fanned, and sucked in breath through his teeth. Still, he plucked up another, stuffed it, then another, stuffed that one too. Tears welled about his eyes, as he chewed, puffed hot steam, and chewed some more. Gulped them down.

"I learned about em onsh when I was crewin for a ship called the Vellamo," his mouth was coated with spice. So he worked on huffing the heat out. But still plucked another oily dumpling up and scarfed it. Chewed with happy sounds. Gulped it down. "Fuckin mess that was," he said with a laugh and a shake of his head. "Ever since though, my nose finds em sure as a gull finds trout," he grinned. Plucked up another juicy, oil coated morsel of chili soaked meat, and popped it into his mouth.

"At least something good came of the trip then." She said as she fished another dumpling from the bowl, being sure to roll it in the spicy oil first.

"I think my favorite meal I've had while traveling is the fresh fish of Aetochi. I never thought I would enjoy something like raw fish, but the flavor in it's simplicity. Some of them are just so fresh it's like it melts in your mouth." She gave an wishful smile as she thought about it. "Never experienced anything quite like that unless it's there. I try to pick up contracts traveling out to Aetochi when I can, but it's been a while."

She fetched out another dumpling blowing on it briefly before depositing the whole thing into her mouth and chewing.
"Do you have a favorite port?" She asked curiously.

"Oh, raw fish, huh?" he mulled that one over. "Didn't ever think that was a specialty," though part of the beauty of being Kharsagan was the bounty of cultures that mix aboard the flotilla. Peoples from every part of the world made harbor upon its shifting decks. "Mr. Alengiri knew how to cut up a mean fish," he added. "Might be his family was from Aetochi?" he left pondered absently. "Sashimi, i think he called it,"

Nod, and plucked up another dumpling.

"Oh, a favorite port?" he asked as he held the pinched morsel between his chopsticks. Gulped it down. Smiled with a bit of grease there about his lips. "Hmm, might be this one, if I tell it true," he said with a nod. "Have more than a bit of memories here, I do," he smiled. He looked off unto the city. "More than a bit of good trouble," he grinned, his tail a swish, back and forth with a quiet excitement. "And you?"

"Mr. Alengiri's shop is one of my favorite places to eat on the flotilla. That and the spicy noodle shop on the eastern edge. The chef makes the noodles fresh daily and the soup is different for them every day. Whatever she's feeling in the morning. Once out, it's out, but it's always spicy and warm. Good to get rid of that chill that always seemed to settle into your bones out on the sea."

Finishing her spicy dumplings. Setting the bowl to the side, she unwrapped one of the steamed pork buns. Ripping it in half, she dipped the fluffy bread into the spicy sauce that was left over from her dumplings. The heat and flavor absorbing into the bread before she takes a bite, wiping the juice from her chin with the back of her hand and then onto her pants.

"There's so many interesting ports in the world." She taps at her nose as she thinks. "I do love Sadsaran. It's one of the port cities of Aetochi. The bright colors of the city and the flying banners are eye catching. There's always something new to explore. Plus, having access to the fresh fish brought in daily." Mahsain made a little hmmming noise at the thought of the fresh fish served freshly cut at the Sashimi shop she'd found last time. "Telperion was another interesting one, deep in the Elven lands, but I've only been there once. Would love to go back again."
