He was tired and hungry and far too sober to want to deal with more cryptic zealots but despite it Hawkflesh kept his calm, for now.

He craned his neck and tried to smile, it did not work.
„You smell like one of us.“ What in dirt and death did these people mean by that?

"Forgive, I do not know the meaning." His broken Sonshan was just about holding up.

It occurred to him that he may have to get the bowl by aggressive means and he left his sword in the shrine shelter.
"Fuck... shit!"
Frustrated, he put his hands upon his hips and kicked the ground as he swore under his breath.

What he did not see or notice at all was the shudder his minor outburst caused among the spirits of the graveyard. A wave of motion among them that sent them scurrying beneath their headstones and under their leaves.

"No, not mine, friend owns. Please, The bowl, I need!"

Again he tried to smile but still he failed as he reached out his hand to receive it expectantly.

Kyu AHEMed loud enough. „I speak trade-tongue.“ Looked at the elf with a concerned look often spared for small animals, children, and those dropped on the head at an early age.

They understood him well enough. Came for the suspicious bowl – a thing clearly of Aetochi, but likely not of Sonshan. And that was the most troubling part. One of their own was messing with forces one shouldn't deal in. What shaman would choose to break the cycle? The thought seemed so foreign.

The group didn't fail to notice how those of the glade twitched at the foreigner's presence. Whatever happened, he was involved.

„Could you...“ And he looked to the rest of the group before he finished it. „Take us to your...friend?“ Eyes narrowed at the last word. „We could help.“

The group of shamans produced the bowl without a fuss.

Kyu hoped he would cooperate. But if not – well, he did stick out like a sore thumb. Following him wouldn't be a challenge.

"Thank the stars for that,"
Hawkflesh visibly relaxed a bit, at least he could say the whole of what he meant. and be understood although the question of them coming with him to Kuuga was a bit out of pocket.
"Thank you."

Swiftly he took the bowl and held it in his own hand then stood looking at them all for a long, tense moment. as his spirit bristled and again, unbeknownst to him, sent a ripple of agitation out among the mystic things.

"What makes you think my friend needs help?"
He asked, not bothering to hold in the suspicion in his voice.
It was of course bad that they either sensed or deduced that Kuuga was injured but he needed to be sure, he needed them to either leave or he'd have to get to the business of making them leave.

@Kuuga

„We can smell the work.“ Kyu offered.
„And the blood.“ A much older woman from within the group, her accent broken.

„You don't appear to be harmed.“ Offer in a warmthless smile. „But we are healers.“ Among other things. „And your friend could use the help.“

The more time they spent with it, more certain it became. Shaman blood. But what had been done here went outside protocol by such a margin that they needed to perform an interrogation.

„Would you like to lead us there?“

Nial gave a nod from the far side, attuned to the stranger's scent. They were coming along – one way or the other.
