The Sixth
Age 34
Gender Male
Origin Miraj'Dah
Occupation Mercenary
- The Blade Dancer -
The fourth child of an ancient but dwindling Miradi lineage, he had little say in the matters of his future. Their long holding to fringe traditions slowly saw them lose power and influence over the years. His parents sought to rectify this by any means necessary, especially his father who wished to make bid for a spot on the Baara'Kasa. Only his aunt held strong to the old ways and took pity on the boy, teaching him of the Dances. As the son's talent with the sword flourished, the father saw opportunity and 'volunteered' the boy to the Trickster's service.
For eight years did he toil in Takoumba's shadow. Many of his peers developed a deep devotion to the Prophet and His God. The soon-to-be-mercenary only nutured resentment. Yet Kitakha saw fit to grant him an opportunity for freedom. A mission near Cindersend gone awry. Wanjila'Dara with a favor owed. Who cared to find a another corpse lost to the caustic sand.
Half a world away is where he found a new home, a new life, and even a new family. Fools, one and all.

The Sixth favors the traditional Ajenwi longsword of his family accompanied by a smaller blade for any knifework.

Skills
The 33 Dances of Kitakha
An ancient swordart taught in his family rooted in the worship of the minor goddess Kitahka. It is said she rules over the median desert-spirits of Kaikias. Each 'dance' invokes one of these spirits, often granting a blessing in return. These boons manifest themselves generally in the form of minor buffs; increased reflexes, an ignited blade, or the occassional partial summoning.
A number of the dances do not actually provide any magical favors. They are merely swordstyles representative of their associated spirit.
The Sixth's distance from the Great Desert has blunted the effects of some dances. It is only though his family's longstanding devotion to the goddess that he can utilize them at all halfway across the world.
Limited Bladeworks
A master with the longblade in one hand and short in the other, he has spent little time wielding much else. To use any weapon other than the traditional ajenwi blade was to admit his family's art was lacking. The Sixth cares little for pride in all else but this.
In truth, he's not much of a natural brawler like his many peers. He can still pick up another weapon and hold his own for a time, but that time is limited.
Silence is Golden
Despite his attempts to deny it, he learned much during his time as a Takoumba'ni. A shadow nary makes a sound and leaves no trace. Adept at finding others while not being found. Hearing secrets while telling none. Within the Ni, his skills in this area were considered passable but among the wider world it has served the mercenary greatly.
