Xana Mior, the Dealer
Age Early 30's
Gender Female
Origin Suldraza
Occupation Ringmaster/Treasure Hunter
In the corners of Suldraza, where the sun doesn't touch- it is said to be wary of the Jackals. Opportunistic, resourceful, and cunning, they're said to be wonderful additions to any home. That is- until a black one is found.
Said to be cursed, they are said to be the harbingers of death. When one is around, someone is destined to die, before the black jackal fades away into death's shadow once more.
This- this is what Xana grew up to. When the sandy fur of her long ears started to change into a deep black. When her eyes started to have an odd glow. When her best friends stopped being real, and the elderly 'dropped' one by one when she came to visit them. It wasn't long before Xana was pushed out of the tribe, and was shoved into one traveler, after another. It didn't take long for rumors to catch up. It didn't take long for people to let their biases push them further. Through stubbornness, and luck, she managed to make her way into adulthood, scavenging, selling, stealing.
But one day, she found something strange, in her travels. An shard of broken pottery, painted onto it- a black jackal. Not as an harbinger. But- as a protector? But why? Of what? It gave her the drive to find out what this meant. Where it came from. Perhaps it had an answer to her own curse.
It didn't take long for Xana to acquire assets. Pitch ideas to people. Get her own group of people with an idea. The circus? Oh- that was always just a front, just a way to get money.
The secrets of the world before the 'Fuckening' was always the end goal.

Appearance
Height 5'7"
Build Square and muscular
Hair Jet black
Eyes Gold
Xana is a meticulous, vain creature, making it a point to be as clean and professional looking as possible. Her thick, midnight black hair is cut to the end of her nape, with not a single lock of hair out of place, bangs that shadow over her thick brows, but can't hide the startling, almost predatory nature of her liquid gold eyes. Her features are sharp, from her gaze, to her nose, even her smile has the presence of fangs in it. Her ears pin straight upwards into the air, covered in dark fur, very similar to the animals she shares a bloodline with.
Her figure is very slim. Perfect for an athlete. Doesn't do well in a low halter dress. And her hips definitely lie- there ain't anything there. She does have a few gold piercings, such as on her nose or eyebrows. She wears a lot of dark, but rich colors, especially noted in her ringleader outfit.

Personality
The House of Cards' notorious dealer is a charismatic, opportunistic creature. Capable of wearing many emotions, utilizing every resource, with an eye for efficiency: the ringmaster's sultry and sassy personality makes her an appealing friend and a spicy companion. Her humor is dry, but tastes a little better the more salt you add- which makes her a target to bully by those closest to her. She radiates confidence, and a sense of 'selfishness' that someone with a good eye would point out is just an act. Like most things in the show.
Xana tries to play herself as a risk, and as someone that can't be trusted. But, Xana's empathy tends to show in the most subtle of ways. She might yell at you for whiffing your performance. But she'll also be the first one there to make sure your wounds are tended to. She will try to convince the entire circus that she hates them all and will fire them- but her greatest antagonists have been under her employ for years. In many ways, learning Xana is to learn what's real- and what's not, and what to do once you know the difference.

Magic:
- The Curse of the Black Jackal:
Below are the abilities that are attributed to her 'curse'.
Soulfire: It looks like fire. It behaves like fire. It can spread, like a fire. Yet it doesn't burn, unless Xana is extremely mad. It both draws, and repels spirits, though Xana doesn't quite know why or what decides it. When applied to enchantments, etc- it 'eats' away at it, and Xana has used it for many hedgewizard's petty security attempts. It can light a room. It's color is a strange, spectral white, tinted with bits of blue and purple. Sometimes it heals. Sometimes it doesn't. The woes of being untrained in whatever the hell it is. Needless to say, there's been many a funny encounter of Xana accidentally healing the mummy they're fighting and if you mention it she will fire you.
Ghostly Visage: Another ability that Xana isn't aware of- but exists, is her ability to appear ethereal/not quite there. When directly observed while using this ability, Xana will appear translucent, as if she is a ghost. Her body seems to be as transient as the shroud itself, and she can push her hands through thin walls or barriers. But, again, much like anything else, she can't control it. And if you mention how she ended up stuck in a wall one: she will, again, fire you.
Death Clock: A more uncanny ability- but Xana seems to have a 'feeling' when people around her are going to die. Probably what has given her the moniker of being 'cursed' in her homelands. She always had a very strange ability of knowing when folks were going to pass- and always was around when it happened. Now-a-days, Xana runs from that feeling like it's stealing her paycheck. Even when she hears the cries of the soul as it fades away.
Haunted: Xana has been given the privilege to speak to the dead. She is not very happy about this either.
