”Well my dear Cahir~ It’s been a while since we last ‘talked’, young one. Come, let us speak.” Mathis chuckled lightly as he led the way for the youngest. Pushing the thick wooden doors open an open training field stood before them both. Weapons of choice lined the erected walls of the outdoor dojo. Barefeet met cool grass as the mercenary clad in hard leather sauntered to the left side. Leaving the right open for Cahir to make their approach and gear up.
Eldest counted at least three years' worth of conversation to be had. Left hand grabbed around the base of a wooden greatsword, the right held a tower shield with ease. Rolling his neck and shoulders, he felt his body rock like an ocean current. Gently and subtly, the wooden edge hovered above the ground before he advanced. Taking several steps forward, he flicked his left hand up in an arch from the floor. Thanks to his natural strength, the weapon moved like a thin stick in the soldier's hands. Quick and unforgiving due to no threat of death. Using the momentum from his last step, he twisted at the hips, accelerating the upward cut. His stance remained ready with the left foot forward and the right shoulder length apart. Pointing his toes at Cahir, Mathis had no intention of backing up.
"Come!"
